O’Keefe’s-Best Cream for Cracked Heels [My Problem Solved]

Best Cream for Cracked Heels - Rebel Retirement

After 25 years of cracked heel anxiety, I solved my problem with Okeefe's, the best cream for cracked heels!

I used to dread sandal season until I started using O'Keefe's for Healthy Feet Foot Cream.  My cracked heels either embarrassed me too much to even think about wearing sandals or if I did wear shoes that exposed my heels,  I rubbed baby lotion or some other kind of oily moisturizer on them before leaving the house.

Sometimes while standing in line at the grocery store or post office, I wondered if the people behind me were staring at my white, cracked heels.

I know. I know. It’s vain and judgmental. But I look at other people’s feet, so I am going to presume that they look at mine.

Going in public with cracked heels was a challenge, but when I got to the point where my cracked heels made me too self-conscious to put my scratchy feet next to my husband in bed, I knew I had a serious cracked heel problem.

I tried various products and home remedies before finding the best cream for cracked heels.

I was in my mid-30s when I first noticed that my feet were dry and my heels were cracking.

The cosmetic problem was bad enough, but when my heels became cracked to the point of hurting, I became frustrated because nothing I used seemed to work.

I tried pumice stones, foot scrubs, and a wide variety of emollients.

Bag Balm, the udder cream that Raquel Welch claims is her fountain of youth, didn’t do a thing for my cracked heels.

Regardless of the season or the climate, my cracked heels persisted.

The closest I ever came to finding the best cream for cracked heels is when I resorted to slathering Crisco on my feet at bedtime, then covering them with socks.

It was a home remedy that worked in the short term. However, it did nothing to promote healing in the long run.

Fast forward to the present, and I am now a rebel retiree with soft and supple feet.

Finally! I discovered the secret to ending cracked heels!

As a creature of habit, I sometimes need my children to introduce me to a new thing.

My daughter had a jar of O’Keeffe’s for Healthy Feet Foot Cream.  I asked if I could try it.

The results were remarkable and impressive.  It was the best cream for cracked heels that I'd ever used.

After using this product for several months, I was sold on its efficacy. Because it’s been my miracle cure for cracked heels, I wanted to recommend it to you because it's safe and effective for everyone, including diabetics. And it works fast!

I did some research to find out why O’Keeffe’s is so good.

O’Keeffe’s Healthy Feet Foot Cream is a concentrated highly effective moisturizer that relieves extremely dry, cracked feet.

It hydrates the skin with ingredients including:

  • glycerin
  • mineral oil
  • dimethicone

Glycerin is a humectant, meaning that it’s a substance that retains and preserves moisture.

Mineral oil, commonly known as baby oil, helps reduce water loss from the skin.

Dimethicone is a silicone-based polymer that is used in products because of its softening and smoothing characteristics.

All of these ingredients create a protective layer on your skin to produce noteworthy results. But they are also the reason you feel a slight coating on your skin right after applying the cream.

Glycerin is derived from plants and animals. Mineral oil is a by-product of petroleum, and dimethicone is made by chemists.

There is some negative discussion about these on the internet of which you may want to do a google search for more information.

Although I prefer using natural products, O’Keeffe’s will remain my weapon of choice as the best cream for cracked heels unless I find a completely natural product that works as well.

This is why I love O’Keeffe’s for cracked heels!

❤ O’Keefe’s texture is light and fluffy, similar in feel and appearance to well-creamed shortening and powdered sugar. It absorbs effortlessly into my skin without any greasy feeling - as you have with petroleum jelly.

❤ A little goes a long way! It only takes a small dab about the size of a dime to cover both of my feet. I massage it in after a bath or shower, and also at bedtime.

❤ O’Keefe’s foot cream is unscented. No smelly medicinal odor - which is a plus for me.

❤ O’Keeffe’s comes in a jar. Although this cracked heel foot cream is available in a tube, I’m happy to buy it in its original style packaging. In my opinion, it’s much easier to get the last bit of a product out of a jar than a tube.

❤ The price is right. At around $8.00 for a 3.2 oz jar, it’s affordable and well worth the price. I will definitely purchase this cream again. It will be on my nightstand to apply to my feet before going to bed.

❤ Best of all, the results are immediate and long-lasting. My embarrassing cracked heels and my once sandpaper feet are soft and smooth. (Hint: Use it on your hands as well.)

Sharing the message and a testimonial.

Word of mouth is one of the best ways we can help one another.

So, when I met a surfer dude and his wife in Glacier National Park, one of whom started scrubbing his bare feet in order to soften them, I explained my problem with cracked heels.

It was rather bold of me, I admit. But I took the opportunity to recommend O’Keeffe’s for Healthy Feet Foot Cream.

I mentioned how pleased I was with the product.

It’s the best cream for cracked heels. If you think you’re interested, try to remember the blue jar,” I said.

Several days after our meeting, I received a lovely email.  With permission, I’ll paraphrase the message.

Are you

the one that told us about O’Keefe’s lotion. If so, thanks, it’s the best cream ever!”

If you’re still uncertain O’Keefe’s is for you, consider all of the rave reviews on Amazon.

Over 7,000 people reviewed on Amazon, and love it!

MISS_305 review says it all! I do believe it’s the funniest review I’ve ever read!

(I’ve broken it up into paragraphs for easier reading)
“I wouldn’t blame you if you threw up a little looking at the before and after pics. I’m 30 years old and thought to myself “my good feet days are in the past “. I’m originally from Miami so it’s almost 365 days of flip flops or open toe shoes. I tried EVERY lotion, special Dr. Prescription moisturizing lotion, even at home foot scrubs and soaks, overnight foot wraps. NOTHING WORKED!
So fed up, I always go on Amazon to read reviews and see what other people have tried. I came across this lotion. Figured what is there to loose but less than $10. So I tried it. From DAY ONE, it soothed my Crack heels. My heels were so badly cracked it hurt to walk. I honestly don’t know how my feet got to this point…I even purchased a pumice stone, the “as seen on tv ped egg”. Nothing works as good, and as FAST AS this lotion.
I am so happy I feel like writting a letter to the company telling them I am SUCH A HAPPY CAMPER! No more being shy, embarrassed how my feet look. I’m telling you, my feet were in such bad shape that even after scrubbing with HOT WATER, SOAP AND the pumice stone…my heels still looked dirty because the cracks were so deep. My 10 year old kid said “Mom, did you wash your feet”? Super embarrasing. Now I go to my Yoga class barefoot no embarrassment. I can go to the beach with my nice looking feet and of course wear my sandals with confidence.
THANK YOU AMAZON for speedy delivery and thank you O’Keeffe’s for developing and marketing such a WONDERFUL PRODUCT. I will forever be great full and always recommend this to family and friends!! :-D”
